WBC BOMBING SUSPECTS

From two independent informants, unrelated and unknown to each other, and each motivated by the $5,000 reward offer, comes the following information:

Suspect #1: KENT LINDSTROM, white male, early 20s, finance student at Washburn, lives at xxxxxxxxxxxxx, home phone #xxx-xxxx; sells used cars in own business (xxxxxxx, Phone #xxx-xxxx) mostly to WU students; told informant he and others detonated bomb at Phelps' daughter's house in the mistaken belief it was Pastor Phelps' home; that the bomb was a PVC pipe bomb with long fuse, so that they could be blocks away at Sonic Drive-in on Gage establishing alibi if needed; that they were angered at anti-homosexual picketing, especially at Washburn and WU Law School; that they were collecting all news stories about the bombing for bragging purposes; that they were not one bit concerned about getting in trouble for their crime, because to the Topeka police, prosecutor, and all law enforcement authorities crimes against Phelps are welcome as a big joke; that Lindstrom told informant and her boyfriend about plans to bomb Phelps beforehand and invited them to go along for the fun; and told informant after the bombing to "watch the news, we did it!"

Suspect #2: HUGH RENYER, white male, early 20s, works at xxxxxxxxxx, phone #xxx-xxxx; graduated from Shawnee Heights Hi, and claims to have set off bomb at that school a while back and was never caught; drives a black VW with tinted windows and a big Alpine stereo; also laughs and scoffs at being apprehended and prosecuted because anybody can do anything to Phelps and the authorities just laugh about it; holds up hands to show length of fuse to bomb as being about 4-feet long, to give them time to be away at Sonic Drive-in establishing alibi when bomb goes off; says bomb had gun powder in it (which may be a slight discrepancy to Suspect #1 description?); both suspects say others were with them, and bombing was a lark, and a caper of which they are proud and freely boastful.
